Born in 1981 as an event to be held only on the occasion of the patronal feast of Casalnoceto, the original “Exhibition of Lace and Embroidery” organised by Mrs. Gradina Gulminetti and Mrs. Giuseppina Bocca, was, in 1986, consolidated into a permanent exhibition called “The Memory of the Past” and exhibited in the cellars of the school building of the village, renovated for this purpose. Since then, the exhibition has been constantly enriched with old clothes and objects, testimonies of the past and of the traditions where the roots of our present are to be found.
The museum tour consists of a long corridor, where among elegant clothes displayed on mannequins, hundreds of curious objects from everyday life emerge, each with a fascinating story to tell. The main corridor is overlooked by eight rooms, carefully arranged as themed rooms. It is therefore possible to enter an old kitchen of a farmhouse or a small village kindergarten and find oneself immersed in the life of the past.
A real journey into the past that will be an unforgettable experience.
