An immersion in the historical and cultural heart of Tortona, together with Michela, a passionate tour guide who will reveal you every secret of the city.
It begins with a visit of about an hour to the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art, which collects works of extraordinary value from every corner of the Diocese, such as the Codex Purpureus Sarzanensis. At the end of the museum visit, you move outside, where, walking along the streets of the center, in a couple of hours you can admire some of the jewels of the city center, such as the church of San Giacomo, Palazzo Guidobono (where is displayed the sarcophagus of Elio Sabino, precious testimony of the Roman Dertona), the Civic Theater with the adjacent Piazza dell’Annunziata and its cloister, the church of Santa Maria Canale, the Oratory of San Rocco, Piazza San Simone, Piazza Malaspina , the elegant arcades of Via Emilia, and finally, Piazza Duomo and the city’s Cathedral.
