MovEat is a way to discover Quarto Piemonte through sport as well as our food and wine specialities.
Accompanied by the expert Azalai guides, a local institution in these kind of outdoor activities, you will experience a peaceful stroll through some gorgeous sceneries ending your walk in the yard of one of the local farmhouses or on a sun-kissed meadow, for a quick lunch where you will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the Quarto Piemonte delicacies.
A classic route of the upper Borbera Valley, starting from Vegni, the tiny hamlet of Carrega Ligure. The initial part is made of a shady path that passes through some suggestive villages abandoned back in the 1960’s and now crumbling. Here, the time seems to have stopped and where the nature is taking back places left by man, surprising testimonies still remain to tell us about the daily life of the inhabitants of these ancient places. Then, after a series of ups and downs we will ford the Rio dei Campassi and pass by the old windmills, arriving to Croso, where we will be able to recharge our batteries with a tasty packed lunch. Later, we will climb the slopes of Mount Antola “The Mountain of Genoa”, ascending to the top with its 360° view on the Brugneto Lake. The hardest bit is now behind us. We will stay on the ridge of the mountain until we reach Passo Tre Croci, among the mountain pastures to then proceed with the descend back to Vegni.
